The day-to-day operations of the SAWMPO are performed by staff of the Central Shenandoah Planning District Commission (CSPDC).
The staff, in conjunction with the SAWMPO member agencies, collects, analyzes and evaluates demographics, land use, and transportation data to gain a better understanding of the transportation system requirements of the area. Staff also works to enhance the technical capacity of the planning process and insures a proactive public involvement process that provides full public access to key decisions in developing both short and long range plans and programs.
Staff participates in all SAWMPO meetings, as well as represents the SAWMPO at other meetings of importance to planning activities within the region.
